I like it as it is but you'll know when it's finished.

I never know when mine are finished either. That's one of the hardest parts, in my opinion. I can't count the number of canvases I've screwed up by working them too long. I have a closet full of them. Luckily, sometimes I get smart enough to take a photo during various phases like you've done, Gary, so I still have a digital version of a few I later messed up.

Dadio's right. Only you know. But if you don't know, I sure know what you mean.

Historically, it's an age old question. When is it finished? When do you stop painting? I'm sure many articles about the dilemma have been written.

I had painted years ago back in high school and college and didn't pick up a paint brush to paint again until about 5 or 6 years ago. Instead, I've been a graphic designer (for my work) and worked on some digital art pieces through the years.

I remember saying "Crap! there's no command-Z!" (keyboard shortcut for 'undo' on a Mac). That's one of the glories of photoshop. You can return to previous versions. Not with paint.

Anyway, I like the painting a lot! .... as always!
