history

Post by mnaz » October 7th, 2006, 4:27 am

history is like jesus,
treasured by many, murdered by few.
stare at it, polish it, like a mirror.
those who don't know are doomed to repeat its mistakes,
and those who know could well reinvent them.

Thus history repeats itself
Time and time again
Will we ever learn
Reliving, reliving, reliving
reinvent, reliving will cease

I followed home an innocent
for nothing else than home to find.
I followed home an innocent
who really didn’t seem to mind
that I unbidden followed, kind
of proud, unhidden. One divined
I followed home, an innocent
for nothing else than home to find.

history
is like a whore
giving up pearls
for the ocean floor
we reinvent
their worth
when we
remember
beauty is
relative

History is a cold cash agenda.
Cut. Paste. Erase.

Pharisees lorded over us,
and Presidents lord on.
Their lies become ours,
and so it goes..
