When I was a little girl, I would climb to the top of the garage roof -- and hide. I'd lay down, make myself small, feel the warm sun on my skin, and watch the clouds float by. And when the sun went down, I wrapped myself in the night sky. On that roof, the clouds and stars were my companions, and I felt safe there. Only there.

And now I'm grown, and I live high among the clouds, as close as I can get to the sun, the moon, and the stars. And, I find peace here, still.

It is a comfort to me just to see them
