The
Psychology of Terror
(02-07-04)
The purpose of terrorism is to terrorize.--Lenin
It is slightly ironic that the American government, under the direction
of jr. Bush, should declare war on terrorism. The US government is by
far the champion terrorist organization on earth.
Consider the release over Hiroshima and Nagasaki of artificial,
man-made suns that rained down heat, gamma rays, and radioactive fallout
These acts were consciously designed to terrorize the Japanese into
submitting to surrender. Not only did the bombings achieve their immediate
intended effect, they also established the US as the Supreme Intimidator.
And for the next forty years the world lived in terror of the atomic
bombs raining down. This sounds like terrorism to me.
More recently in Afghanistan and Iraq we have used the military tactic
that we gloriously call Shock and Awe. This is the very
essence of terrorism. The message it is intended to deliver is, We
are the biggest, baddest mofos on the block and resistence is
useless.
Our current government has wasted no time in capitalizing on the tragic
events of 9/11. They have used these events to institute a continuing
reign of terror on our country and the world. They are training us to
submit to searches and invasions of our personal information. Under
license of fear they are binding and raping us.
The Bush administration is spending the political currency that they
won in the lottery of 9/11 to institute a open ended war
with no concrete enemy. When will the War on Terror be won?
Never. Not as long as there is an evil thought in this world. Not as
long as there are oppressed peoples and disease and starvation. The
War on Terror will not be over until they have used it as
an excuse to fuck you to the last inch, not until the world is a benign
concentration camp and we all watch the same TV shows.
As I write, the current regime is using the terror of unemployment and
economic insecurity to keep the proles in line. It is spending our money
directly into the pockets of its cronies and trying to pass it off as
a noble cause. It is not a nobel cause, it is terrorism.
