Notice to the American People:
Your current government does not protect you or represent you. That's
as simple as I can put it.
Your current government is a useless burden on your lives. It makes
laws to favor its wealthy clients. It scrimps on your schools and healthcare
in favor of military adventures that only serve the interests of a few
fat-cat corporations.
Your current government lies and tries to confuse you with meaningless
issues while they daily steal from you on behalf of their owners.
Your current government wants you to live in fear and has restructured
itself in order to more effectively keep you at a high state of alert.
Their job is to invent new threats and fund studies that create new
diseases.
Your current government thinks you are too stupid to see through the
games that they are playing. They are confident that given enough repetition
and enough money for advertising and enough flag-draped spin and god
talk, they will beguile you into letting them put a meter on every breath
you take.
Your current government wants to close my mouth and the mouth of every
other comedian who seeks to expose their greed and their swindles.
Your current government thinks you will go for anything. The world stands
outraged. They see us as pampered and gullable and decadent. We are
more interested in American Idol than we are in bombings in Madrid or
Jerusalem. The world covets our lifestyle and at the same time sees
it as shallow and self-indulgent.
Your current government is manufacturing the terrorists that they warn
you about. The incursions in Afghanistan and Iraq have served no purpose
but to create a bonanza for a few selected corporations (pipeline right
of ways and 'rebuilding' and oilfield services) and to inspire no telling
how many middle eastern teenagers to choose jihad as their career.
Your current government is creating the threat from which it claims
to protect you.
Your current government is like Caligula on Crack. Nerf Neros. Mad Fiddlers.
The Poet's Eye sees that Rome is burning in the flames of its own arrogance.
The smirk on the face of the Emperor should tell you something.
