Re: Everyone’s just pretending
MAGA, whether it realizes it or not, is in bed with these so-called "Christian Evangelical" End-Timers, and Israel is well aware of this. Some of the things I was taught 50 years ago in church were pretty alarming.

Re: Everyone’s just pretending
No lie. I found a book about the Israel-Palestinian conflict in a long forgotten corner of my bookshelf, and I will read this book and try to educate myself. After the indoctrination of my Church, one of those Evangelical Churches that assumed Israel taking over of the Middle East would be just what...

A few thoughts on the War (yet another one), 5 days in
I hope I don't piss off anyone with my take(s) here on the current chaotic world situation, and more generally, Trump's first 14 months in office. but here goes . . . What amazes (and certainly appalls) me is how his Enablers and his Cult CONTINUE to twist themselves into pretzels of belief and "log...

I like this. There's a reason why Hunter S. Thompson probed the depths and surface glitz of Las Vegas, looking for the "American Dream."

Yet it's argued that those things are mere technicalities, and raw greed is good in the long run. Go figure.

believe the time of a small mind
has finally come, and they've
tried to make a cult out of it.

Re: RIP Cecil Lee — author of Sunday Streams
I'm kind of stunned by this news. Cecil and I had many long conversations, in person and by phone, going back awhile. We became friends after I first traveled to meet him and Soozen in 2004. The last time we spoke was when he called me in 2022 when I'd just come from a hiking trail. I will miss him.
