So true. I just had a long, drawn-out fight (fight? uh, let's not call it that, more like um, intense discussion) with my sister on this very concept.

Parts of this sound like it was some sort of "phishing" scam. But ... probably not, I suppose. I've become super paranoid in recent years about electronic money transfers--but I guess that's just a phobia of mine.

Andromeda is beyond the Milky Way.
Farthest thing we can see with our eyes.
A couple million light years away.
A galaxy with a trillion stars.
Just a faint smudge in the sky.

Yep. Earth as a ramblin' gamblin' rock alone in a crowd of stars with its fickle moon tagging along (never the same place nor face in the sky) ...

Always trim the unwanted and unwarranted obstructions. Let's get on that wavelength.

It was wide open when I was young.
Then some of the roads closed.
Some hit fences, or ridges
with only star terrains beyond.

I wandered on a spinning rock
in a crowd of stars, a lump of iron
and silica, fickle moon in tow,
alone, like a Las Vegas gambler
at a table in a crowd.

Had big plans to travel across the country.
I left on 9/10/01, then September 11th happened.

I am about to retire.
For now, I just too often tire.

Well, if someone happened to watch me pass, sitting at less than the speed of light... Ah well, the whole thing's a bit silly.

And one of my other favorites: "You can't have everything. Where would you put it?"...

I wish I could make
a poem out of that.

And in our heads. I had the Doors' LA Woman stuck in my head yesterday. Not sure why it took me so long to figure out that it's metaphorical-- a song about LA as a "woman." Then I read somewhere that the "Mr Mojo Risin" bit near the end is an anagram of "Jim Morrison" ... Huh, ok ...

The human experience

Fuck the idea that we need to "make America great again." How much "greater" than we were just a few years ago do we need to be, exactly?

Where is rock music now?
Has it finally been beaten down
by the terminal police forces
in our so-called governments?
