Hi everyone, (wow I haven't posted here for like ages) For me global awareness is how often people ask themselves things like what am I doing, why am I doing it, do I want to do this, am I doing it of my own free will or am I following engrained beliefs that no longer serve me, etc. A bit like self ...

Hi Judih.

I know I haven't been around
but I think about you
from time to time
and it pleases me to see that the strength and beauty of your words hasn't faltered
and invigorates me as always.
I like the picture of the wheelchair, I'll try to use it in a drawing.

Love,
Jeremy

A technique

I discovered this technique a few years ago. At first I found out that it was useful as a relaxation exercise. A bit later, I discovered that when you did it just before falling asleep, it could help trigger lucid dreaming and so-called "out of body" experiences. Today, I discovered something else. ...

75 Words: Somewhere I hear a rindinging sound. My head falls back as I burst out laughing, cheeks ripping open, stinking metallic soul pouring out of my mouth, tasting like blood. What I thought was my ego and is actually part of a much vaster thing, my Self, invades the world. I become Everything,...

There are several ways to approach the situation you're describing. As an exaple, I will use myself, because I have conflictual beliefs about Global Warming. Global warming has been emitted by scientists at first. Science being an area that I have decided to invest myself myself into, I can analyse ...

Science is tricky. As a scientist I can tell you that I don't believe in black holes or dark matter. I believe in quarks and all these weird particles that exist in two different places simultaneously, but not because I believe in the way it has been proved. I believe in them because I think it's fu...

The Jante Law

1. Don't think you are somebody. 2. Don't think you are as good as us. 3. Don't think you are smarter than us. 4. Don't think you are better than us. 5. Don't think you know more than us. 6. Don't think you are more important than us. 7. Don't think you will ever be anybody. 8. Don't think you can l...

The Stanford Prison Experiment: an Abu Grahib remake

Lately I've been investigating in experiments on mass behavior, and how I switch to automatically pilot mode for some things when there's a group of people around. I find the Stanford Prison experiment interesting. It was made to reproduce conditions where ordinary people were placed in a situation ...

The favourite healers that I read about
Say that the trick is to convince the patients
That the healer is doing the work
When in fact they're merely healing themselves

Did I get the dough to hold its shape? Well, not exactly. About 2 thirds of them got the cookie-dough syndrome and spread out to create a shape that was more round than triangular. However the filling stayed in. The rest had a decent shape, except for this one cookie, made of 2 cookies I'd completel...

British troops are planning to move out. I think Prince Harry did it. It's interesting to have 2 points of view. The British media talks about Prince Harry wanting to fight and risk his life with the others, having to protect himself under a damaged armoured vehicle, although I haven't heard anythin...

I tried out osnei haman yesterday, using cornflower so that my dad could have some (he's allergic to gluten) and an apple&wallnut filling.
The pastry was quite dry but it was quite a success, there are only 4 left.

Hi Judih !!!!! I've been lurking. A quick pop out of the woods to see how the people I enjoy on this board were doing, here and then. Bands. Studies. Watching liberalism taking over. Looking for ways to focus on the now and not trail off after 3 minutes. If all goes well I'll be moving to the UK for...
