Thanks, I guess. We weren't trying too hard and I think that made it more fun to do. I think when you are performing at a small open mic venue like that the key is to have fun. And speak loudly. LOL. I didn't like the inaugural poem. I didn't like her delivery. I was very disappointed in it overall....

We have very similar styles. Great minds think alike, I guess. Which lines did you think were me?

Dave... unfortunately not. It's on video somwhere but I don't own the vid nor do I know the guy who shot it. But thanks for reading!

Fractured Infestation

*This is a collaborative piece I performed and wrote with my best friend Quinn Jiles at an open mic recently. How we wrote it was, we would pen about 3-5 lines, and then cover them up so the other could see only the last line, and we would have to write our stanza from that. See if you can figure o...

You are not the only late shopper. I got everything yesterday. My arms still hurt from all the bags. And my feet are still traumatized from the frostbite they received stepping in giant slush puddles. I am SO over this weather, and I am trying to have the holiday spirit in spite of it.

I was more talking about myself being on a rant. But I'll sleep on it and get back to you.

D, I just hate that it went into rant mode. I wanted this to be an open exchange about Obama, and world politics, not racism. You don't have to apologize for going off topic. I appreciate your passion for your beliefs. It's inspiring. I just wasn't looking for the discussion to go this way. I sort o...

MTM... we are making strides... but racism is most certainly not dead. What the world and even this country thought of Bush was based on his apparent incompetence. It''s not him I hate, it's his policies, his methods, and his views. I don't know him from Adam. D... I understand your definition, I un...

No, no, you make a valid point. Sometimes it just isn't okay to ignore color. I don't think there is any MLK drive in any city where a white person, and even a black person shouldn't be aware of their surroundings. And there's no sense being color blind in a situation like that, because they most ce...

When I said "pull and Lrod" I meant I was going to lay a compliment on you followed by a criticism. Nothing to do with the relationship between the two of you. I mad a comment in a previous post about how he does that to everybody. I was trying to start off on a light note, not open up another disag...

Okay, I'm going to pull an Lrod here: D, I love and have enormous respect for you in all things. That being said, I think I have to let you know that I never believe it when people say they are color blind. If you were color blind you probably wouldn't even have shared that story. You wouldn't have ...

Bennie... *sigh* I am very disappointed when someone says they don't think America is a racist country. Don't get me wrong, I recognize the milestone here... but I am not going to lie and say a major reason why Obama is able to all himself "President-Elect" is because proud black people went out to ...

If the whole world could've voted...

I know this is not as significant now given the wide margin by which our current President-Elect beat the septuagenarian Arizona senator for the presidency, but I found these on M.I.A's myspace blog and thought it was just so interesting: http://www.economist.com/vote2008/ http://www.iftheworldcould...

St... I keep meaning to update with that damn thing, post more often... my original plan was to post a new blog every week. I even made it my start page so that I would remember to do it... but I just get preoccupied. I'm always bad at writing when I force myself, which is why the blog you're mentio...
