Now this is rock and roll. . .

One of the greatest moments in rock and roll caught on tape. Stones tearing up the joint playing Satisfaction when some guy decides he's gonna get in Keith's face. dv1bM0pp_o4 And you know the best part? After it hits the fan, Keith straps his axe back on and barely misses a riff. And Mick doesn't m...

I tried to read the first Rabbit book a few years ago, but could never get into it. Maybe some day I'll try again.

My state is worse than your state!

Where do I even begin? Well, our former governor of the great state of Illinois, Republican, George Ryan is cooling his heels in the pokey becuse of multiple coruption convictions. And our current governor, Democrat, Rod Blagojevich was just arrested and is being held by the FBI, no less, for essent...

I read this book about four years ago and decided that Chuck Dickens and I will likely not meet up again. I suppose if there is no real means of entertainment and you read this in the 1800s in a weekly magazine, or however it was published, then you might be captivated by it. I found it slow, ploddi...

Nugent has always been a redneck piece of shit. Yeah, I think you can judge an artist by his personality.

i saw high fidelity and i wanted to read something different by hornby. i read about a boy. it was extremely disappointing. it really went nowhere. i suppose it was easy to read, but i didn't care about the characters while i was reading it and i cared even less about them when i finished it.

I completely agree with you on Fight Club. I read the book first and it is far suprior to the movie.

The last book I read by an author from the U.K. was something by Nick Hornby. Talk about shite! I dinnae ken what the fuss is about him. Welsh wipes the floor with him.

I never saw the movie. I have been waiting to finish the book. I don't know how cool or popular the book was/is. Maybe I'm a little slow in finally getting to it. The dialect works for me. I could see it as a gimmick, but it forces me to think that the book is set in Edinburgh. If it wasn't for the ...

Trainspotting

by Irvine Welsh. I'm 50 odd pages into this and it took me about 20 pages to get a hold on the dialect. Told by different narrators which makes it a challenge and there are a lot of characters.

But, boy can this guy write like a mofo!

the way i look at it is that litkicks went from a place that i couldn't wait to get to, to just another run of the mill blog. it used to be so different from anything out there. it was a cool place to hang out, it moved fast, there were great people and great ideas racing by. i still occasionally gl...

dp, city of glass can be found in a three-volume paperback called, i think, the new york trilogy.

city of glass is scary, weird, creepy, and very cool. i didn't really get the ending. i don't think there is anything to get. but it's a very cool read.
