thanks for the update. the art institute is an amazing, awe inspiring, humbling place. i haven't been there in years, but maybe soon. i was in l.a. and pasadena in february. a lot of people from the midwest don't like l.a., but i do. if you appreciate it for what it is, it's great. i was in, i think...

i'm generally not a windows basher, but i certainly would wait a while before upgrading to vista. i was in best buy and the people there said don't even think about upgrading to vista until four months after it is released. let other people work the bugs out of it and wait until the first service pa...

I like the tabs, but the placement of the buttons is idiotic. Why separate the forward and backward from the home and refresh? Why make these buttons smaller as you use them every freaking time you surf the net?

gotta love chuck. diary was not my favorite but i still enjoyed it. check out invisible monsters (my second favorite) or fight club (my first). i thought invisible monsters was going to be made into a movie. on the one hand i don't know how they could do it as the narrator/protagonist has most of he...

i was in the valley for a case i'm working on that's pending in brownsville. i went with my local counsel for a contested hearing involving an injury case. no jack in the box around chicago. i did eat at rudy's, which i suppose is no big deal to those in the south of texas. i had some kind of meat-t...

Pharr, Texas
. . . so i was hanging around the rio grande valley wednesday and thursday, and on my way to mcallen, lo and behold i come upon pharr, texas. who'd a thunk it was a real place. i think the valley needs a good radio station. and what is with the obsession with "yak in the box." i thought those places...

yes, still reading. i'm about 275 pages into it. i usually don't bail out on books. i'd say i give up on around 10% or less of them. the violence is quite graphic. hell, it's really graphic. very well written. not much of a plot though. however, an investigator just showed up to investigate the, ahe...

A little hard to tell right now as I'm only 30 pages into it. I haven't seen the movie either so I don't know much about the plot. So far it seems like an indictment of the excesses of the 80's. All the characters are obsessed with their appearances, clothes, houses. The main character/narrator is s...
