yo firefox is the way to go. opera is crazy - it costs money if you want to kill the ad space in the top of the window. firefox is faster anyway. the reason that some sites dont look happy with firefox is because they arent standards-compliant. if a site looks funky in firefox it's because it's usin...

anyone willing to collaborate on disaster relief show?

my company matches donations from people so i was thinking it would be cool to have a poetry reading/music/etc show in some central-ish place like baltimore or dc and raise funds that would be doubled. i'm sure that there are venues willing to schedule and promote something like this in a short time...

Bowery Notes 11/23/04

Talk about spontaneity. At 2pm Tuesday Pelerine and I decided to drive to NYC for David Amram's birthday party at the Bowery Poetry Club. I busted outta work early at 4:30, we gassed the car and picked up snacks ("pay for that awhile?" fuckers). I changed my clothes in the gas station parking lot sp...

"Robert Knight, of the curiously named Concerned Women for America, told Associated Press recently that Kinsey was akin to the notorious Nazi pseudo- scientist Dr Josef Mengele." from http://www.sundayherald.com/459...

true dat. it's quite an adventure. the whole time i was watching it i was mostly just astounded at how well those old clips applied to our current commander in thief. so, like you, i didnt enjoy it at its humorous peak. it's truly a cinematic opus.

i need to tell you this

for the past several weeks i've been using http://del.icio.us/ and i have to say that it's really cool. it's a bookmark sharing tool that allows you to place your bookmarks/favorites onto an external server. instead of putting them in folders (lazy and ancient), you "tag" them, so that you can go to...

denying service to a customer based upon one's religious beliefs is the same as denying them because of the customer's religion beliefs, no? it's essentially the same thing. they're refusing to provide them with doctor-ordered medication because the customer doesnt share the pharmacist's religious b...

it used to be that moral people only pursued careers that fit their preferences. now i guess morality can be jammed into each career in order to fit the selfish selfrighteous (frighteous?) needs of its practitioners. it's a true sign of arrogance and liberty defined for the few when a pharmacist can...

so the plan was, instead of focusing on florida, which was, before actually being elected president, bush's only decent access to fraud, to broaden the fraud. as long as the fraud can be large enough to turn challenges into a laughable pr nightmare, they figured, the concession will come. and it cam...

bush is still in office because american men are compensating for their small cocks (this is in red states, of course, not in my blue state). http://www.corporatemofo.com/stories/041103whybushwon.htm Why Bush Won by Ken Mondschein Unlike most of my Kerry-supporting friends, I refused to have faith i...

it's true. america has become that which the original americans fled. the Christians and the selfish rich have taken over this nation and have begun imposing their beliefs on the rest of us. i no longer see myself even humming along with the national anthem or god bless america. i no longer believe,...
