Re: Radical

Nice. That hoary old "critic" just couldn't see it, try as he might (but didn't)...

Hey, this Eight place is alright...

Re: [ andy warhol ate my campbell soup]

Andy decided to paint soup cans at one point, because he suspected the whole runaway consume and buy and breed-breed thing might eventually start to run us off the rails, well, unless we were clever enough to keep gouging the rock and get away with it.

Yeah, these collisions were bound to happen..

Re: Charlie in Paris

Sadly, it seems.

We never know the "other side," we just learn to hate it because it's evil. And with good reason it seems, most of the time.

Re: One More Goddamned Commercial and I'll Crack

That's how it works. The Machine runs on an inexhaustible, ever-expanding supply of good little consumer units . . . And resources and land too (that's where the wars come in, protectin' that "way of life") . . . And so on . . . And holy brain drain Batman , if you're actually trying to watch someth...

Never been there. I just happened to stray a little "too close" one time early in September a few years ago. True story.

Re: If I have to listen to One More Commercial

Ah, but if you just had that car, the one that is pushed so relentlessly onscreen, it could be the breakthrough; it could change your life! Well, except we both know that it's just a car . . .

Re: If I have to listen to One More Commercial

That's not to say that selling or buying is bad.
It has always come up in history; I need this thing
whatever it is, and right now, and it might even
be legit, check who owns the latest facts,
and just go!go!go!

Go!

Re: JAM HERE! The Annual Spring Equinox Poetry Jam

Where are the jammers?
Too busy with their devil lawns,
or whatever preposterous thing is next,
and do you remember when poets were rock stars?
When they once heckled and booed each other off the stage?

Well, now that seems a much, much different era.

One More Goddamned Commercial and I'll Crack

If I see one more flashing blip-vert hawk some holy capital jingle on a screen, then dear preacher, I will turn insane. I need that car; it will make life complete. The Machine never rests, and God knows I need bought fulfillment on a stick. If I have to listen to one more Ayn tout consumer madness ...

Re: Charlie in Paris

Well you know, the West has been trying to take over the world, especially since the end of "WW2," the so-called "good war," and that obviously includes Middle East oil fields. And yes, "the Communist East" had similar designs on that area the whole time, so they were the first convenient, hated ene...

I want to say, "yeah, so that's how it goes" . . . but really? Just left in the attic, seriously?

But yeah I get it. This economy is high-risk, high-reward. If you lose you're fucked.
