Inside the mind we all have those times when there is no escape from who we are ,the poem has this up front and center ,I can feel the question, were is the place I belong? the poems ability to quickly and simply transport the reader to a differnt place is the fine tuned art you have become a master...

Truth,the form is so interesting a gear train of words that works in both poems. I have always said the truth is not welcome as it stands alone and can not be altered to fit as needed in the game of rationalization.

Yes , this is a fine poem ,it builds to a deep feeling, approaching those dark hours that we all experience at some time, and holding us there just long enough to want to shake it off , this brings appreciation for friends and family , light and laughter . The place is a flutter the farmers drunk agin the cat is after the chicks and the roosters gone mad hens are fighting over scraps and horse manure the cow peed in the water trough the old rooster struts and crows kicking up dust fighting his own shadow not bothering to look up at the hawk circling

The poem speaks for all the young ones who are caught up in the warfare of our time , so many will never be free of the fear you speak of , much food for thought here

Listing to the blondy kings new clown
cornered by the BBC reporter

The bombs were dropped , the hospital was hit , it was an accident, for me ,the poem tells the truth of our dark arts
