where is the shovel?

blooms smoothed by May sun
atmosphere smells like tangerine
you now understand

one, two, three, four, five
seconds to realize time
cannot be your friend

sheet of rain today
sun now glistening itself
in cool August air

El Paso, Dayton
fifteen hundred miles apart
together in death

breathing in and out
good for what ails ya' in this world
also for living

in this wondrous
time of of fresh propaganda,
stale thoughts win again

an evening question
concerning one's libido
far more discerning

snow piles have melted
like the icy white blankets
on green warming earth

fireplace warms torso
snow continuing its depth
spring yet to be sprung

love on the shoulder
shrugged for yet another day
chocolate kisses

caring about you
and the trouble it creates
is more and more love

winter cold below
real imagination
extremities bite
