Glasses which can tell you if someone's lying? What the hell? Have we lost our minds? "Lies, damn lies, and statistics".... wow.... I wonder if I could win a bar bet with this one. I would have sworn Mark Twain first said this. Benjamin Disraeli? Now that's a surprise. This man, Disraeli, was an int...

There will be protests, and some arrests. But I don't think the situation will explode. Perhaps this is just more of my wishful thinking. An all-out riot doesn't do the Democrats any favors in the public opinion arena. I don't know.... my recent 'wishful thinking' record isn't too good.... like the ...

"mercurial".... I love that word.... both Mercury and Saturn figure in the upcoming September night sky, it turns out. I didn't realize this, but there's a spacecraft out there now which recently passed near Saturn and all of its moons, sending back some great pictures. It's called the Cassini-Huyge...

Angry Left-Wing Drivel
Angry Left-Wing Drivel from boardrooms in the clouds of smoke-filled solid oak gluttony, in tailored red, white, and blue, wearing ties with estimated prophets of depraved fear, like a White House drug, right spin, still spinning hijack planes hijack god hijack freedom hijack the whole wad meeting a...

thanks doreen
thanks doreen. It's rough, of course, taken (and expanded) from my road notes. I noticed there is some repetition and shifting context in this series of descriptions and thoughts... oh well... a work in progress. I've been trying to weave these notes together into larger work.... just something I wa...

monitor resolution.
re: monitor resolution. Maybe that's it. It seems the problem is here on my end. For some reason, I can't resize my resolution above 640x480. When I hit the button for 800x600, Windows 98 goes thru the motions of making the change, but it doesn't "take".... when I recheck the resolution after a resi...

re: music.
I used to play drums in symphonic band in high school.... the biggest challenge was trying not to fall asleep. I never took it any farther than that.
Music appreciation is more my thing.... though at times I wish I played bass in some big spliff roots reggae band in Jamaica.

OK.
Yes. You were illustrating the government's likely point of view and not your own. I get it. I'm clear on that.... (also, I was goofing a little, anyway). I wish these family-related bennies had never existed. And I certainly don't think they should have been pushed as far as they have been. But at ...

Ah Ha!
So you're much more on my page than I ever imagined! Cool. If I ran the world (with my mnaz Iron Fist), I would probably yank all those "family values" perks, or at least be seriously tempted to. It is a personal choice to procreate. Therefore, the procreators should personally foot the bill. Well.....
