Saw I confess I never floss. But I use and electric tooth brush and have had no dental problem for over a decade! I own a book about how risk takers often come out on top. I love your assertive expression of a life lived to the fullest. I forget the quote exactly but in the move Braveheart he says s...

Saw, home is where the heart is. I left my heart in San Francisco. Sometimes I think that one day I'll migrate out west. There are so many ghosts haunting me here. Your observations are astute.

Gypsy I love your comparison with Haiku. Thanks! Mnaz, so far from a home which no longer exists. Yes those mornings at my grandparent's are gone with the wind. Yet my pulse is steady, heart has a good rhythm, for the time being. mtmynd, mortality is less feared now. Yet when I face him eye to eye i...

Lightning Rod, I've never been to that mission. I'm glad you liked my bleak meditation. It feels good to dip into darkness once in a while. ;) The mingo, your reply was lyrically hallucinogenic in power. I'm impressed and most honored that you appended that to my humble poem. The ending rang true to...

Ruins

The lark sings a sad song As December wind whistles over volcanic ash Dreams come fleetingly now A whisper, a shadow then nothing The sun of truth is so bright my mind dilates The barren branches reach out to comfort me But my emptiness is complete Swallows return to San Juan Capistrano every year I...
