Your aphorisms are quite to point. People are like snowflakes everyone different. Love the lady anthropologist quote. Sadly it seems some commonalties make for better inclusion in the Borg. But then who wants to be assimilated into the machine of society? Ah cruel fate.

Re: Vagrant in the House of Women
Love your rambles, my friend. We are a walking taking sack of chemicals. And read Nietzche at a young age. Back then I was young and insane so his words resonated with my free mind. I thank you heartily for bringing in your experiences with Effexor as well as psychedelics. There is more in heaven an...

Actually, one out of the five meds seems to be the key that opens the door. Just reducing that by half frees my muse. And aside from some insomnia and hyperness had no appreciable negative effects. They call them drug holidays. Everyone needs a holiday once in a while like Madonna said. lol Unfortun...

Love that metaphor for my prose, "warm & rich as melted butter." I've been writing all along since then. I've written some erotica which is surreal and humorous, some of my better offerings. But they would be a bit too adulty for this forum. Yet perhaps my most inventive ever. My temporary reprieve ...

Your quest was expertly recounted into a compelling story with humor from our prehuman ancestors to those priceless encounters with the man at the hardware shop. And then after your caveat about not making your own home repairs, you set for another! Priceless my friend.

Re: Twilight at Armageddon
The suspense here was awesome! This made me think of the upcoming WWIII some predict. And America may be on the losing side. But you created a story which held my fascination throughout. What will our next war be like? And given the likelihood that we'll be outgunned the scene you so exquisitely pai...

TV and rocks in a mystical waltz. You take big numbers and make a dream of rock which transcends earth into asteroids. The boundlessness of your prose is timeless.

I recall taking my wife to NASA and Houston where we watched a video of the moon shots. I was moved beyond belief. Your poetic account of geologic history is also moving. You take eons of subduction and mountains rising and falling and create a poetry which transcends science.

Love the transition from open land to Vegas. Your vision of the city is as fascinating as it was to you seeing it first hand. And those remote gambling islands marooned in the desert were enshrined in your prose in their desolation.

Re: More Notes on Shape (from roundscape back to flat earth)
Mnaz, I bought your "Roundscape" book years ago but lost it while moving. This lucid prose scape reminds me of why I need to reacquire your book and enter into that naked rock and those contours which enchanted me in my crossings of New Mexico and Arizona. Your desert prose takes me into a world of ...

Vagrant in the House of Women
Vagrant in the House of Women He sleeps in sodium light shadows. There, whiskey weary souls expire like angels in the fetid night air. Their cardiac cauldrons pump like lovers in a final tryst. On Christmas Eve the Soup Kitchen runs out of meals. The last cup of milk is served. The bewildered hobo r...

Ghetto Lions Paul’s friends gather into a sepia photograph like ghosts from a Fitzgerald novel wearing suspenders and dressed for the night. His partner from another life Ted meets him in a room full of tears where memories stalk his lonely hours. Their feet glide across the carpet while he carries ...
