2 dreams

on christmas day nite my 2-yr-old had nitemares all nite. i think the chaos of toys toys toys cookies candy cake cookies cookies toys and toys got to him. he never gets nitemares otherwise, always sleeps well. poor lil guy.

last nite, i had one nitemare that they made me boss of the sopranos crime family. in order to make it stick we invited members from other crime families to a big meeting. it was in a school. as the rival families showed up, i had to shoot them. i shot them as they were walking down the hall. i hid in a classroom and shot them thru the glass door into the hallway. all at close range, right in the throat.

later in the nite, i had a dream that they wanted to make me pope. i'm not joking about any of this. i had a dream that they were going to make me pope. i freaked out, told them that i didnt want to be pope, that it would ruin my writing career, because no novelist had ever been a pope before. they told me that i only would have to be pope for a couple of years and then i could retire. i tried to remember if any pope had retired while still living. at any rate, they didnt vote for me. then i was in a huge colosseum and it was crowded and i had a panic attack. a fine pope I would have made.

one nite, 2 nitemares about being made bosses of italian crime organizations. not good.
