Image Posting Guidelines... discuss
Basically, it's pretty simple.
1. If you created the image, you can post it without referencing any link. It's yours. You own it. You can post it.
2. If you did not create the image, it's best to get permission from the person who created it and state that you have permission to post it and link to their website.
3. Please do the artist or photographer the courtesy of posting a link to where you found the image on the web so you are directing viewers there and thereby crediting the artist or photographer.
Who gets it?
Who doesn't?
Talk about it here.

Well I put my socks back on after Norman knocked them off with that poem of his on the B/W jam, I think. Short term memory is on the blink again. "Hot dog bun, my sister's a nun"
Geez I thought I red the fine print

God I hate private messages.
I tell you Doreen this is hard
Thinking about Zappa's quote about having a conversation with someone who is on drugs.
If you did not get it and jimboloco did not get it then.
"That's proof enough for me." Firesign the one with the Giant Rat of Sumatra, The Hamlet schtick
Maybe we should have this conversation sometime when I am not stoned
If you notice I put "hot dog bun, my sisters a nun" in quotation marks.
RE: John Prine's song Ill Eagle Smile.
Maybe I should start putting foot notes

Footnotes might help. Yep
I don't know what Zappa quote you're referring to.
What I didn't get was what jimbo didn't get and I thought it might have been the topic of posting images on the boards which is why I started this thread. (I already said that.. sorry to repeat myself)
Sorry, I remember some Firesign Theater ("Don't Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me the Pliars" is the only album I'm familiar with and it's been many years since I heard it!)
I didn't recognize the quote from the John Prine song. Sorry.
Yep. Footnotes might help. At least for me.
If you hate private messages, why did you tell me I should have sent you one rather than discuss image posting guidelines on your thread?
What's hard?
You know what's hard for me? Trying to figure out what your reply has to do with my question.
LOL!!!
I crack myself up. At least I understand me.....
How about you? You too?
I mean, do you understand you as much as I understand me?

Firsty asked if anybody gets me. I suppose not.
I can not think of one person here who has posted an image that has not given credit to the painter. and a link if possible. But sometimes another member will help them find the source of the image
Do you see a problem?
I got a private message from Norman once asking me to respect his phoneytag. I had no idea what he meant. The only image of his I ever posted here was that drawing he did of Virginia Woolf. I am pretty sure I always put a tag line with something like Image courtesy of member
name
So what's happenig?
Are you a lawyer?

No.
I don't see a problem.
I don't understand what you're saying. Sorry.
Where's the problem?
Are you saying something else than that? If so, please clarify. I truly do not understand.
No. I'm not a lawyer. Obviously. If I were, I'd be advising myself not to have a conversation that doesn't go anywhere.
Please be specific.
What do you NOT understand about the image posting guidelines which have been in place since we started this site?
Thanks.

To me, that says that everyone here follows the netiquette rule ... Credit the artist. And sometimes members help members to do just that.I can not think of one person here who has posted an image that has not given credit to the painter. and a link if possible.
