Doreen and Lrod, thank you for the Litkicks Book!

Post by hester_prynne » December 12th, 2004, 2:54 pm

I spent the night last night, carefully looking at the book, running my fingers over the pages, reading the introduction and forward, reading the content, familiar with so many of the pieces and authors of them.
Holding Litkicks in my hands like that is nice.
I maintain that I don't like the cover art. I also maintain that I would have done some things differently.
But holding litkicks in my hands is nice, very nice.
A time capsule, to display proudly on my bookshelf.
I'm tremendously glad to have it.
Thank you again, Doreen and Lrod, for your kindness, in sending me the book.

Glad you got it, hest! Plus, I'm glad we had an extra copy to share!

You almost ended up with a CD called "Voodoo Kazoo" by mistake.

I went to the Parcel Plus mailing place, filled out two forms, one for you and another to send the Voodoo CD to the Bar of Soap, a nightclub in Dallas.

LR was across the street at the money machine trying to clean us out with his ATM card. Luckily, there were other people in line behind him and he had to hurry, so he left some cash in there... then he walked into the shipping store just in time to notice that I'd given the clerk the CD with your address, and the book with the Bar of Soap address.

He stopped the clerk! "That's wrong!," he said. "Switch those two." So, the clerk switched them, got it right, than hand wrote your address for us on your package.

You would have enjoyed Voodoo Kazoo.... lotsa original LR tunes and Stupid Bob was on there, too! But getting the book to you from Dallas woulda been a trip and those people at the Bar of Soap would have wondered what the heck they were being sent a book of poetry for! hahahahaha

*whew*

Anyway, glad you got it! I was going to include our Christmas card in there, but I haven't designed one yet, as is a tradition.

So here's my MERRY CHRISTMAS to ya! Enjoy!
