Remmber when we used to have Panics?

Post by stilltrucking » July 15th, 2008, 5:59 pm

Before it was called a recession, it was called a depression, and before that it was called a Panic.

So the good news in that McCain's chief financial advisor ex Texas senator Phil Graham (AKA Foreclosure Phil) tells us that this is mental recession, all in our heads because Americans have become whiners.

So do not panic dear friends, it's all in our heads.
I for one am very grateful to Senator Graham for pointing that out. I am much relieved to know it is only my imagination running away with me again.

God Bless and keep you Senator Graham. Keep you far from the white house.

I'm not as old as you, jack
so I don't remember panic in the generic sense
only my personal, daily panic

Phil Graham is one of the smarmiest, greasiest, low-life politicians in the history of the world.
He used to be a democrat. Good riddance.
His economic degree is from Texas A&M. That should tell you something. He's an Aggie economist. (don't get me started on Aggie jokes)

Ten four on the aggie jokes
My favorite one about the Coleman stove.

I was just trying to see the upside

I think they stopped calling them panics way before my time, 1893-1897 the last time they called it that. But it is a good name for what it is.

The thing about the age Clay, that was what I was growing up with every Saturday at the movies, those old Pathe' move clips. Do you remember the newsreels, I can't remember when the stopped showing those, 1950's probably? Also the old clips from world war one, the trenches, and cavalry charges against machine guns. World War One my father's war. Seems Like everyone here had a daddy in world war two but me.

I guess I am special, just like everybody else. effing history I am convinced Santayana got it wrong, those who remember it are doomed to repeat it.

I spent the July fourth weekend in jail back in 1989, and I am saying to the guys in my cell "does this mean I won't be able to vote” they laughed and told me I been watching too much television.

Going to read this over with an eye to your writing style and edit the hell out of it as quick as I can

I can see that Clay,

I am trying to nudge you out of it, but I don't think I am any help.

I don't know what else to do with a brother who is down except to kick him.

Sometimes all I got going for myself is fear,
it can be a good motivator to do what needs doing if you don't let it panic you.

Excuse me I got to roll another cigarette
Have you ever awoke in a panic and found that you can't breathe?

I still got that dwitzel thing down in my lung
I quit smoking for a couple of months and felt great, but I have become complacent again. So I try to imagine lung cancer, drowning, stuggling for one more breathe, a nice panic that is

But I keep on smoking...
Like sucking on a tit ain't it.

I think we would have been better off with a parliamentary system too, but it is too late now. This two party system getting pretty dam decadent.

I wish the election was tomorrow
so tired of it already.

I decided months ago for Obama Obama OBama.

Thanks for asking. I hope I can tell it straight.

Two aggies were about five hundred feet up in the air, one was falling the other one was going up. As they passed each other the one falling asked the other one going up, "Do you know anything about parachutes?"

And he replied, "No, but do you know anything about Coleman Stoves?"

Man I hope we all going to be okay clay,

what's next we will all start taking sides,
clay supporters on one side , doreen's friends on the other?

I am partial to holocaust jokes myself

"What's the difference between a Jew and a pizza?"

But no way I will ever tell that joke again, unless I find myself surrounded by surrounded by neo n*zis again.

I don't think this is where we are, jack
like Christie Brinkley and what's his name
fighting for custody of the kids and a modicum of honor

it's a matter of identity

But the last thing I want is to divide friends like in a booogwah divorce
after all, we were never married
except in my mind

we split the sheets, but we aren't splitting friends

Some people love to watch a fight.

They will nudge it on just for their amusement.

Another assholian comment made by a true asshole.
"a mental panic"?
So now McCain is a psychiatrist?
He collects disability though his wife is millionaire many times over, and they deny my UI benefits because I relocated to an area where there were more jobs????
I"ve got about 30 bucks to my name at this point, I'm living off the kindness of a friend and they tell me it's a mental?
I hate everything right now..............................................
