Scribbles Forums - did you get an email?

Just got an invitation via email to a new writers forum. Looks like whoever invited me, also invited many of you.

Cool I guess.. but not really.... I never thought it was a good idea to harvest email addresses from another site's member list and wanted to apologize if you didn't expect email from other places by joining this site.

If you don't want to receive emails from people who get your email address from the Studio Eight member list, there's an option in your profile to make you email address invisible.

I wrote back and suggested they make an announcement in the What's Happening/ Announcements forum rather than collecting email addresses from our member list.

Might join up. I donno yet. So many forums, so little time. *smile*
