I think the meaning of everything changes too fast for definition, but lately, I've been thinking about futility alot.

I've decided that for now, for me, futility is a sort of tight rope I walk on all the time, but it don't mean I have to stop walkin!

Fact, maybe I oughta start struttin!

Good working definition of futility: One who reads the posts of Herr Kapitan Von SquidKnipples in hopes of discovering intelligent remarks

O Kanuckia!

I hate gin. It makes me ill.

But listen, seriously, I was thinking maybe you'd like to have your own weekly internet series on Studio Eight TV.

The Peresozo Comedy Hour (or half hour, depending on how long the audience stays, y'know? ;))

drummmrolllllllll ... a bitta music, maybe Beethoven's Fifth or Chopin's Funeral March or maybe some bluegrass music or something.... And the announcer says...

"Welcome to the Studio Eight TV Peresozo Comedy Hour.... (or half hour, depending on how long y'all stay).... Featuring our very own Peresozo, the internet's new age Don Rickles!"

And then you can post some essays evaluating Pynchon and Skinner or many other names I'm not familiar with and dissect poetry and when people step up to the mic to reply, you can call them imbiciles and idiots and ignoramuses and uneducated louses or something! And if they don't laugh at you, you could throw cyber fruit at them or something and that will bring down the house!

LOL!!!

I think this is a GREAT idea!

Whaddya say? Saturday nights at 9PM EST?

Or??? What other time would work well for you?

Oh quit bein a grouch you ol dynamo you.
I don't have a pager. Why would I need a pager when I can run into you right here perezee dearest?

I had a nice thing happen today. I was at the local yocal thrift store and I found an R. Davies book, "What's bred in the bone" for a quarter! A QUARTER! Hot diggity dam Pere! eh? eh?

I hope it's as good as the Trilogy was, man the World of Wonders made every book i've read since seem kinda 2nd rate.

You read it?
Hopefully he's not too detestable for you......

Don't know much about...

Post by Cawk Knogga » January 11th, 2005, 8:02 am

Futile is like flogging the dead horse...No?

Or maybe trusting a politician or the Daily News.

Futile is like living life "by the rules".

Or maybe just making your own up as you go along.

Futile is a pretty good word and has many uses.

Useless is the definition...Some call it...to try.

I like to try.

Hester:

Many readers and even critics, notoriously untrustworthy, find Robertson Davies "What's Bred in the Bone" his best book.

Do you know "The Tree of Man" by Patrick White, the Australian novelist? White, in this book, anyway, and in his wanderings with Jung, reminds me of Davies.

Here's a link on White, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1973:

Best wishes from your fellow Northwesterner,

Zlatko
