I was getting tutorials on the net in 1991-92, but I didn't first check out the net until 1998. I helped my daughter get info from an embassy on the library computer system. I got my first computer and posted the first time in 1999...

There used to be a system called ERIC, in the eighties, and it was used for interlibrary and intercollegiate posting of sources and papers for educational purposes. I used that. So, I don't know if that counts as an "internet" but
it was some sort of a forerunner to it. (I also remember when all computer programs had to be coded & be "punched in" on "punch cards" and then submitted.)

About the same as you Mark, litkicks nine or ten years ago. I started writing on computers around thirty years ago. I still got a box of floppies from my apple //e. It seemed so magical to me like writing with light. I loved that black screen with the green text.

Thanks for the reminder..9 years of writing on the internet is an achievement of sorts!
