whats it like?

Im watching telly now. in Oslo 150 000 people are gathering with a rose in their hand. we will battle them with peace. With the freedom of speach. we shall not hate and we shall not revenge, like the PM said. the Prince dude had some words"... and to the survivers: ...we are here for you." and a 150 000 roses lifted up to the sky. Its probably on CNN now.

Anders Behring Breivik, quien admitió ser el autor de la masacre del viernes, permanecerá ocho semanas en prisión preventiva. En su comparecencia ante un juez, que fue a puertas cerradas, el militante ultraderechista afirmó haber querido defender a su país y a Europa contra el islam y el marxismo.

quoting Merthon with a () of my own: we are not (at least dissconnected) islands ... of course, that never justifies attrocities like the one people of your country suffered there or anywhere. Moving images of the crowd holding roses that you linked... hope you can heal from this as a society. So much young vidas, so sad... :(

rosetoget and blomstermarkeringen were the more latin-anglo-german sounding words that I found in your links, what do they mean?

Rosetoget means Directly translated " the Rose train" or in eng. " the Rose march"
"Blomstermarkeringen" means eh...like a flower seremoni? in oslo they used roses instead of torches. in this case it means that people put flowers outside of churches or water fontains.

I also lay down a note with all your condolances. these notes will be arcivated in the national arcive. the roses will be composted and go back to the earth of wich there will be planted a three. or maybe a whole park.

that is a damn good thing to do with all those flowers ... a park will be the best reminder of that hideous crime against you beautiful country.
