'morphs' is a strange word - you either like it or not, but it works

I hesitate to give you grammatical advice, since you write English better than I do, and it's my native tongue (that is, if you classify Texanese as English.)
I would get rid of the awkward 'it's its' thing by rephrasing the statement.
"The stream of my mind creates it's own watery eddies."
or something like that
