What's the point?

Go ahead. Talk about it.

The point is a fill-in-the-blank sort of thing..

So just fill in the blank, and you'll have it..

o.k so first there is existential thought that says...there is no point...so once you get beyound that, you realize there is a point, to enjoy life as best you can, so because there is no point there actually is a point.

One moment it was there, another moment it is gone. One moment we are here, and another moment we have gone. And for this simple moment, how much fuss we make! How much violence, ambition, struggle, conflict, anger, hatred, just for this small moment! Just waiting for the train in a waiting room on a station, and creating so much fuss: fighting, hurting each other, trying to possess, trying to boss, trying to dominate - all that politics. And then the train comes and you are gone forever.

Osho Take it Easy, Volume 1 Chapter 13
Our life is such a brief moment in the grand scale of time...the point is, the arrow sent is...Love...it will show the way.
Freedom's just another word...

the point

that upon which we focus
:
everchanging
transforming
transmuting
coalescing
absorbing
drifting
evolving
devolving
revolving
-
(revolting!)
-
never the same
always new
always old
the point
is
clear
sharp
focused
.
(pointless)
.
what else
is there
within the focus
of that which
we derive our
inspiration
destination
continuation
?
the point
is not static
but is the focus
(now)

What is the point?

Arriving

Only to find

It is too late and too dull

To be of much use

So you dig a hole

Crawl inside

And poke at the ground with it

Ah yes

A stick

In the mud

A cliche

offhand, and being fresh into the morning,
i humbly suggest that there is no point
not gertrude judih but Ray Nitzke, a linebacker for the Green Bay Packers.

"Man would sooner have the void for a purpose then be void of purpose."

Mousey I wonder sometimes if your underwear is too tight. Have you put on some weight? Have you considered buying a larger size. Mousey I forgot to put an emoticon  here. You have no idea how much I am sweating whether you have seen this yet
Depression is not a problem for me, I spend all my time fighting repression. Let the roof fall in on civilizion. Fuck sublimation. No running water in a maternity ward in Afghanistan, but stacks of the latest western scientific miracle machines and no electricity to hook them up. One in ten die.

Just my stupid sense of humor. Sorry mousey

I can not think any point for life that does not seem absurd. only love one another, the only one that makes any sense to me. All these preachers talking about god's plan for my life. No doubt they want to tell me what it is.

During my last two minutes of life, my mind
will ask me one more time.. "Hey dude, did
you get the point." In all my deathly honesty,
I'll respond, "duh, nope."

Lights out, and try again.

i don't buy that mike, i wonder if you do
Sometimes I stand by my microwave watching the seconds count down waiting for my hot dogs to cook. I get impatiient when there are are about 14 seconds left. Then I think suppose those where the last seconds of my life ticking off. ANd here I am standing around wasting time. What I wonder mike is what will I be thinking two minutes after I die. Reincarnation is a comforting thought for some I don't want to knock it, but for myself I want to get it right this time. Not much hope I guess cause I got a lot to catch up on.

still asked if my underwear is too tight? Do you ask this question because of my sqeeky voice?

Well, they may very well be but the only time it really causes me a problem is when I'm wearing them on my head. Seems to cut off circulation, no blood can properly reach that all important brain stem. Yes, that was indeed my problem today but I have since rectified the situation.
