His testimony, his ideas, his conception of the world will turn to nothing. Possibly, he will be able to resist even that, but the trial is for us, not for him. We shall see him as he is, a human being like you and me, and we shall see what he has done. And we shall try to understand. The dangerous thing is the distance, the confusing of the picture of the world with the real world, the turning away from the other person. And it is this that the court case, with its emphasis on formalities and its equality of treatment, confronts. Our task is to witness it, to allow the weight of reality to break through the picture and correct it. And never, never the reverse.

My thoughts to Baghdad

7/22 be a day Norway will remember many generations. Kids born on that day will be reminded of it every time they show their ID to the doorman at some pub.

Remember the chica on litkicks born on 9/11

How was Bruce?

the debate of the kids born on the 22 was obviousley touch and brought to light during the 12 hour long broadcast on national telly.
Myself, I saw the ceremony from Utøya, earlyer on the day on tv. quite moving, but turned into a political-thing.
Took the buss to Oslo later on with Bergmann.
60.000 people where attending the outdoor arrangement, by the town hall, by the sea in the wind and that rain. uncertainty rules the minds of those only coming to see the Bruce, for if he would come was of uncertainty.
3 Nor. bands had made songs about the tragdy. it was rather embaressing. Del Lillos, Bjørn Eidsvåg and some rap-group.
but KARL OVE KNAUGÅRD, my man, said some words making the weather blush and the heart cry. nice. Betgmann couldnt stand the rain, he was dressed for summer, so he hit the pub. i lingered to watch. and Then they came on. Bruce and Little Steven. they played We shall overcome. just singing it with a guitar each.
he s a hero. legend. you must be prud of him.
he did a show in oslo saturday and one in Bergen yesterday, yet another one today. hes the man.

i hate to bring it up, but ill like to end this terrible thread now.
I just heard ABB closing speachs, and I feel like i should post it as it is forbidden in Norway and only comes in words and not sound. to give an impression of his voice and the attitude at least.
yes, its disturbing.
