that their face is too serious for their body...

or vice versa?

I just got out of the shower and I'm still chuckling.

yeah, i'm beginning to notice that my state of ever-constant shock at what i'm seeing is truly permanent. That's fairly serious.

so, either i start wearing a mask (what's more comfortable, papier mache or cloth?), or take a daily hit of acid, or start to believe what i'm seeing and do as you're doing, mousey - chuckle.

hmmm.
probably given my state and location, the mask is most accessible.

i do. often.
and often, yes... vice versa!

and sometimes i feel i am too earnest for that whole physical being that is me. and then, this body seems to be much too solemn for the rest of me.

and i stare at me in disbelief, and someone stares back at me, and then, sometimes, i start to chuckle....

both my face and my body are rather amusing
neither one are too serious--more like tragic

Woody Allen comes to mind
