If you could change your chromosomes

Post by stilltrucking » June 24th, 2007, 5:03 pm

And you could be anyone, any race, any ethnicity, any gender...

I do not think I would have chosen to be me. I got hope there is some randomness in it all. That I was born a Jew by accident of birth.

I wish I had been born an untouchable, the lowest caste, and a devout Hindu. It seems like a more relaxed kind of existence.

Destiny's child, I suppose that is a cliche.

Only to have darker skin (I hate all the ritual in order to take care of the skin between september and april in order to not be a red skin after 30 minutes under the sun).
I like blue-grey eyes but not in me, so it´s ok.

I'd like to be you.

I've always wondered what that would be like.

If you threw the genes of Tiger Woods, James Galway, Eric Dolphe, Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde and Napoleon into a soup, those would be the genes for me.

Coincidence? I think not. Many will recall that on July 8, 1947, witnesses claimed that

an unidentified object with five aliens aboard crashed onto a sheep and cattle ranch just outside Roswell, New Mexico.

This is a well-known incident that many say has long been covered up by the U.S. Air Farce and the federal government.

However, what you may NOT know that in the month of March 1948, exactly nine months after that historic day, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Condoleeza Rice, and Dan Quayle

were all born.

See what happens when aliens breed with sheep?
oh yeah ya gotta see an air farce advertisement, great
baaaaa!
that's about what dickhead cheney says

eh what?
It was fun being a baby boomer.. until now. Some of the artists of the 60's are revising their hits with new lyrics to accommodate aging baby boomers.

They include:

Herman's Hermits--- Mrs.. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Walker.

Ringo Starr--- I Get By With a Little Help From Depends.

The Bee Gees--- How Can You Mend a Broken Hip.

Bobby Darin--- Splish, Splash, I Was Havin' a Flash.

Roberta Flack--- The First Time Ever I Forgot Your Face.

Johnny Nash--- I Can't See Clearly Now.

Paul Simon--- Fifty Ways to Lose Your Liver

The Commodores--- Once, Twice, Three Times to the Bathroom.

Marvin Gaye--- Heard It Through the Grape Nuts.

Procol Harem--- A Whiter Shade of Hair.

Leo Sayer--- You Make Me Feel Like Napping.

The Temptations--- Papa's Got a Kidney Stone.

Abba--- Denture Queen.

Tony Orlando--- Knock 3 Times On The Ceiling If You Hear Me Fall.

Helen Reddy--- I Am Woman, Hear Me Snore.

Leslie Gore--- It's My Procedure, and I'll Cry If I Want To.

Willie Nelson--- On the Commode Again

No, no.
I think my chromosomes are fine just as they are
they haven't failed me yet
and I accustomed to their ways and
silliness
am all
complete.

I wouldn't entertain the regret. I'd sooner plunge a bowling ball down upon my feet. And yowl.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

I suppose I am closer to tha silent generation jimbo. the ones that came of age in the fifties.

Cecil I wish they could all be california girls, I would not mind living to be 96 just to see what happens to people like jamelah and Izzy when they hit their prime fifties. I wonder if they are as talented writers as I think they are?

Good answer mousey1
thank you

I am kind of overwhelmed by the amazing replies
to this post

Clay I would like to have a few of Ted Williams genes. I suppose I do in a way because I admire him so much. And johnny unhip unitas too.

I hope I know you in thirty years too jimbololco

Doreen as much as I admire arcadia I don't think I would like to be a woman. I feel so lucky to have them as my other. I'll see you here in thirty years, you will be the grande dame of litkicks

Arcadia my brother never tans, so fair, blue eyes, he goes from white to red to white. Grey eyes, my father had grey eyes, I have met very few people with grey eyes,

I am pretty happy to be me, but I been me since about 12 years old. I intend to grow up any day now.

Sometimes I wish I was a tree.

I would like to stand in the way of progress

Image

thank you all
I hope I did not leave anyone out
probably so.

I would be Sarah Vaughan in a sparkly nightclub, singing "ain't no use" with Harry "Sweets" Edison's band.
