FIREWORKS!!!!

I don't know about ya'll, but I am a huge fan of fireworks. I love over the top, monstrous displays of exploding light. Fourth of July is a favorite of mine, not as fun as St. Pattys, but a good day to barbecue and blow shit up. Personal fireworks are legal here in Oregon all year (unlike Jersey) so I'm sure the natives have a pretty good stock of explosives. So what are you doing? Are you gonna blow some shit up tonite and tomorrow? Have you got the charcoal ready to go?

I sat outside by myself and listened to music .... Paul Simon... and jazz... and some of my own pieces. I drank wine and watched and listened to the fireworks my neighbors were setting off. It sounded like a war zone over here. I had leftover cookout food – chicken which I had cooked on the grill the day before. It was yummy.

But man the war zone was LOUD! I woke up with a headache. Then again, coulda been the wine.

We did the same thing. we sat on the deck listening and watching the many explosions of our neighbors. I kept being reminded of how those same sounds, back in the day, were real cannons and real gunfire. All in all it was just a regular day. Next year I hope to be able to afford my own personal stockpile of wmd.
