What type of car do you drive?

Mine is a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue. I bought it in 2000. It has 78000 miles on it. I hope it lasts at least past 10000 miles 'cause I'm broke.

What modes of transportation do you enjoy?

I love flying! Used to hate it.. was scared to death some years back... Now I LOVE it love it love it! I can't believe all those people who sit there reading the newspaper or a magazine or falling asleep when you're taking off or landing on a beautiful day. God, flying through the clouds can be magnificent! A couple times I tapped the person's shoulder who was sitting next to me and said, "How can you sit there and not LOOK! LOOK at this! Isn't that beautiful!?" They thought I was nuts probably. I don't care. I ALWAYS get a window seat.

I also love the train! I haven't taken the train in many years. I really should take a train trip some time soon. Invite me to visit and I'll try to fit it in. Riding on the train and watching the world go by sideways while in the club car is a joy! And meeting people who are traveling on the train with you going to different destinations for different reasons... well I just love meeting them all and hearing their stories. Then they get off and you go on and you know you'll never see them again but they are a part of your life.

I don't like to ride on a bus very much. But I do like the subway if I have to be in the city. I'm not much of a city person. Short trips into the city are OK though. And I'd much rather walk or take the subway while I'm in the city than take a bus. Taxis are great! Too expensive tho.

I like traveling by car... I love road trips. But I like to share the driving. I used to be able to drive for 12 hours without needing to rest or sleep (just stopping to fill up and use the facilities) but these days, 5 hours or so is about my max. But I love the feeling of an open road!

Just thought I'd talk about transportation since we're doing the travelogue jam.

I'm going to California in a couple of weeks. I love walking! But it's too far to walk so I'm going to fly.

I drive the Ferrari of my mind
otherwise I take any transport I can find

but truth be told, I would rather stay at home

airplanes are glorified elevators
subways in the air
some find them glamorous
myself, I just don't care

I would rather watch a concert or a game
on television where it's perfectly framed
and the crowd doesn't smell and you don't have to park
and you can eat and drink and smoke as you like
control the temperature, the light and the dark

transportation is just the daily grind
I drive the Ferrari of my mind

I got rid of that big gas guzzling Toyota Tundra I had and now I'm totally satisfied with my lil Honda Civic hatchback circa '93........

don't have a car, have my reebok shoes
as for getting outa here, i bus up to tel aviv or over to be'er sheva. When i'm with others, they drive and everything's cool. The kibbutz owns several berlingos (a great all-round car, strong enough to withstand 100 different drivers) and we sign them out for the period of time needed.

i take a train up to Netanya or haifa.
i fly to canada or the U.S.
and in toronto, i subway, or streetcar.
options are good.

Living in phar lepht and the adjoining void, autos are practically a necessity. We have 2 vehicles: '98 chevy S-10, 4 cyclinder p/u, used for our tent shows only. the other car is an '03 toyota camry, 4 cyl, sedan... that ubiquitous auto that's seen in multiples everywhere you travel, (like the VW bug was years ago). I like the fuel mileage on that one, (altho the p/u is decent given the load it carries), and the reliability is something I appreciate... I'm not a mechanic in any sense of the word!

I have a 1997 Saturn, maroon, 4 door. I got it last year, and it's okay but I miss my old Dodge Spirit, which finally gave out, but was a good ol pony.
I take Public tran whenever I can, especially like the trains, hate to fly, prefer my feet most of all....

I have a pair of beige suede , brown stars insert Converse ;
With the beige and white leather interior. Moved by a pair of 11
eee sized feet . The shoes are 3 years old and in perfect condition.
The feet are 46 years old and still running strong.

For grocerie getting , kids haulling purposes
i own a Kia RIO . When i day dream , this is what
i drive:

bus to work: nearly one hour and a half per day. I like the early morning travel (more or less five passengers, usually silence -a coworker that is on that bus too know I don´t like to talk at that hour-), the midday travel is a little caos that I would be happy to avoid but I can´t.
bus: to anywhere else that is more than thirty blocks from where I am and I´m not in a hurry (not frecuently)
bus/other´s car: to go to other cities or near countries.

taxi: when I´m in a hurry in the city, not matter the distance

walk: almost ever. I love it!.

bike: now only in towns

cars:I only drove a peugeot 504 lonnng time ago in not busy streets. As I live now in the downtown with caotic traffic, the possibility to drive is science fiction to me (and really a not desidered one!). Besides I don´t have a car or money to pay the gasoline.

lanchas: to cross the river to the islands in summer

trains: there are no trains or subways here. They say they´ll build a tren-bala to go to Buenos Aires in 2 hours. (I don´t go to Buenos Aires since 1993, I guess it´s the same for me!).

still driving that beat-up '94 Nissan 4x pickup around... haven't bothered to wash off the last round or two of desert dust...

I really should trade it for some kind of econo-box car...
those gas prices are killin' me...
