OK well Lrod turned this into an mp3 quicker than I thought could happen. Earlier today, Joel, Lrod and I stood around the mic and read parts of the new Studio Eight book "Infinite Tide" into the mic. Obviously, it's totally unrehearsed and random but it was a collaborative creative effort which was a lotta fun. You might hear your own words in here if you listen carefully...

>> listen here >>Infinite Tide spontaneous book jam

There are also 3 recordings of joel reciting his own pieces. It's a treat... will get them up soon as I can.

ah yes... great inter-weaving confluence...

Nice!... definitely caught a familiar passage or two...

You know, I think need to check out the east coast one of these days.

Anyway, have fun y'all.... my 'net time runs short...

nice work. & thanks.

was a little worried about the site, but so glad that the server was to blame and sorted itself out.

Hey mnaz... please do that! that would be great! And yeah, I'm glad you recognized a few of those fine words! ;)

judih, it was a trip... First the site went down. I don't know why. I got 2 different error messages when I hit it 2x and copied them both and sent them to the host to place a ticket. I was worried too!

And this is part of the rest of the story..

In the meantime, I consulted with eyelids, who told me that it looked to him from looking at the error messages that the host moved our site to a different server and that's why the error code said the database couldn't be found and since WE didn't do anything.. no upgrades or anything at all but getting ready for joel and a couple other friends to come by, we knew it wasn't our fault but in the meantime again, joel couldn't access the address or ph number because they were in his pm box which was inaccessable! But eventually we communicated by phone and email so he got here! whew!

heh.. what a fun day! Well we survived it all and the host managed to get our site back up in response to the information I gave them and joel was here and it was delightful! He's a joy! So open... so true... such a born poet!

My day started with yesterday's bee sting swelling my leg but I took A to cross country, spent the morning swimming and working out at the gym and the afternoon in the urgent care place trying to figure out why I read all the magazines in the room and had to go out into the hall to read the eye chart in order not to get bored while I waited for steroids. lol.. (side track .. sorry)

but then there was joel ....... we opened the 3 copies of the drafts of the books I have on hand and the three of us made something to hear anyway and we had a blast!

It's been a long day. The night sky is so clear I can see Orion's belt. Crickets chirp early. It's only August. Swimming tomorrow. Cali on Fri for a week but before I go, I'll get Joel's recitations up here for you all to hear.

sorry to ramble. I don't write much any more. Better rambling than no writing, I figure.

.....

THANK you, Joel, for stopping by to meet! It's been a long time since we "met" on the net and it's great to know my friend in person.

....

(footnote: I have known joel since something like 1999 on the internet superhighway... pretty cool, huh? meeting him in person has been a long time coming...)

yeah, california is coming. Who would've guessed that august 17th would arrive so fast.
bee sting? are you alright?
working out is inspiring. my favourite walking sessions are put on hold for evening - it's so unbelievably hot right now. i think i just missed my hour to walk to school as well. oh well. one more day of vacation.

so the host switched the server but then between you all it all worked out? i love when vital information is stored on the net and then there's no net. excellent! thankfully, joel and you spoke - making for a spectacular meeting. 8 years of net friendship! must have seemed like the physical meeting was just icing on the cake.

meanwhile, i took the time to wander through doreen peri dot com to recollect the days of yon. seemed like such a different person represented there - almost stained glass beautiful.

have a good week. Perseids tomorrow. Meteor shower Sunday/ Monday. could be nice.

Judih- yeah I'm ok.. prednisone saved me. swelling's going down. Thanks for looking at that old site of mine. I really need to update that. Hoping eyelids can license me his software for that site, too. Or something. Host said our database was corrupted and they fixed it for us. gonna consult with the master. ;) thank god we're up again!

arcadia... you are well represented in the book. There are a few pieces in there by you! Glad you liked this spontaneous fun ... maybe later we'll record separate pieces from the book and make a cd. Hmm... what an idea, huh?

Dave... you, too, have a few pieces in the book... and it will be out soon! Thanks for listening.. glad you liked it.
