Wiped out....

Post by hester_prynne » February 11th, 2008, 7:02 pm

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
And god dammit too.
I am sicker than I have been in years....some kind of flu that starts at the top and goes through the whole body. Just writing this message will take all the energy I have..it is the worst flu I have ever experienced. Yesterday, I thought I was going to die. Really!
Today I think I might make it. Spoke with a co-worker who has the same thing....she said she felt that way too, but is better finally after 5DAYS!
This is day 3 for me.
Pray for me, please....
and take care of yourselves.

awwww...... :( :(

Here's a large dose of friendship. No wait. Take 2 doses tonight, 2 in the morning, and 2 tomorrow afternoon.

Then come back and tell us how you're feeling tomorrow night, ok?

Feel better, lady!

:)

Both my wife and I have had this influenza, Hester. We still have it after several weeks. It convinces you it's about to leave and re-pounces.

It is, for me, just about the worst flu ever.

Mary keeps getting it from her students. Every student from the university has it, nearly every teacher.

Rest is the only cure. And don't stop taking as much fluid as you can stand.

Some antibiotics work. "Taraflu" works for some people I've talked to.

You have my maximum sympathy, dear-- and my parallel experience.

I won't kiss your forehead because I'll get the flu all over again.

Love and blessings-- recover soon.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well,
the chicken soup is in the mail

I once read that flu virus don't like tomatoes or anything acidic, I drink a lot of tomato juice, and gallons of gatoraid (god I hate that stuff, it tastes like piss, and believe me I know what piss tastes like.)

take care of yourself

Hesty... O that flu. What a grind. Sometimes it even lets you up and puts you down again. Hope it's the short version. Get well! (Spring's just around the corner-- and no, April is not the cruelest month).

You are all so very kind.....Geez Zlatko, what ever am I in for? I can't be missin work...already missed too much......yikes....I hope you two can be well soon too, I would not wish this flu on anyone cept George W Bush.

I do seem to have lived.
But my eyes still sting, and everyonce inawhile there's a stray chill at which time I head straight for the heatin pad.

You know, I don't want to sound like a boring old lady, relating to you her illness. If I do, pardon me and don't read any further! Duh! :D

But man, it's a monster illness! Day before yesterday I was just a moanin zombie slobbering on my heatin pad, wonderin when I was gonna see the white light.

Yesterday, I got furious! (maybe delirious). I was like, yelling and pacing around my house, yelling how getting sick sucked pissass creepo, and that my life sucked too, and that I hated everything and was sick and tired of all the phoney shit. I mean, I was a raving maniac. The neighbor guy pounded on the wall and told me to Shaaadup!
So I gave him the silent finger treatment. I mean for a long long time, alternating between double handedly and single handed, doing a little dance.

It wore me out.
So I slept for like 14 hours.

Being sick is interesting. This thing has aches that are evil. Bratty mean aches that poke way too hard.....

Indeed, I can't eat much but I am drinking fluids like there is no tommorrow. I can't do the tylenol thing either, but a friend suggested that I place a medium size bud in my mouth down by my back gums like chaw. It really relaxed me, which of course relieves pain! I had never known one could do that......

Anyway, again I so appreciate your posts.
Being sick can make you the most loneliest when you live alone.
