judih's chapbook

Okay, I am not sure where I should post this because for the life of me, I can't find where Dor posted about judihs' chapbook, When Orange Blossoms Call (so if you wanna move this Dor to a 'correct' spot, be my guest.)
I had planned on reading this amazing book right away but it just didn't happen. When I finally did sit down, cd in the player, I was blown away.
For one thing, judih's voice is like honey, soothing and refreshing and oh so sweet. The real payoff is the work itself, as those of you that have read judih for years know, that girl can write! Once I sat down and listened and read it through, I had to read it through again and I am still reading it again. These pieces will stand alone, each and every one but I do have my favorites.
Some of them are Bliss On the Half-Shell, Threadbare's In Season, Ego-sandwich..., Soundproof Booth, man, all of this stuff is top shelf but one of my very favorites is Refrain from the Black and Blue Blues. I haven't gotten judih's permission to reprint it here but maybe she will understand my indulgence:

Thank you judih for being a friend and for including us with this gift for it is certainly a wonderful honor and experience!
Refrain from the Black and Blue Blues
Friction makes for angry upholstery
I sit on the couch of our lies
wearing myself thin
bruising myself on your razor rants
to live with you
is to cry myself deluded
this is my fate
raw, I continue
how I got here and why i stay
why I agree to fold down your pillow
cream your wheat
how I rip myself naked in regret
black and blue from truth
bleeding from impotence
oh, if only i could change shades
