ditto. i'm journaling more than anything and finding it an interesting experience understanding what will interest the reader of such items. if i'm too personal it can repulse, if i don't reveal enough they aren't curious and don't come back. it's a new challenge.

i do hope to start writing poetry again... i miss it, but just don't find myself in that zone.

glad you brought this up Mark :D

I'd like to hear any of those serious opinions of yours,wireman...got a few of those myself...(swatting mosquito behind ear)...sometimes things need to be said and the stables need to be cleaned - but its a fine line when our own demons pose righteous as angels of light...dealing with text like we do here even a compliment can get backhandled 'til all the decency in it gets shot to hell & gone...it gets so ya don't say anything - a "polite" tyranny is still a tyranny...(I missed that mosquito earlier, now he's trying for my belly)...did I get off-point here?...anyways, ya got something to say you could honor the both of us by saying it straight up...I, for one would enjoy that kind of company.

I do it a lot too. Most of what I delete I realize is meaningless tripe before i push the submit button.

But I'm with mingo .... if ya got somethin to say that you need to say, well let's hear it!

Would love to know what's on your mind.

wired: "... i have some serious opinions sometimes that get cooled in the writing process..."

is it your writing process or your own serious opinions that are getting cooled?

westie: "if i'm too personal it can repulse, if i don't reveal enough they aren't curious and don't come back. it's a new challenge. "

challenge is a good thing for any artist or any genre. i don't need to tell you that challenge is what makes for growth. but, yes, sometimes these challenges are too much for the mind. so write outside the mind. terrific challenge. talk about new horizons...

would love to hear what you need to say. clean those stables, buddy. shit makes for good fertilizer if handled properly. this s8 joint is a good place for that.

oh well I have wasted my life
what's one more evening
I have a compulsive personality
just ask selective service
that's why they turned me down for the draft.
That is why I was the world's greatest truckdriver. I could Drive straight through from Dallas to Los Angeles with no dope, just bubble gum and coffee. I felt compelled to drive until I dropped, I could drive in my sleep even talk on the CB radio while I was doing it, but it made for some surreal conversations.

If I feel compelled to delete something I do. I type in my sleep, what can I say.

Sorry I deleted your posts Mark, I am not right. There it is.
I will put them back asap. It was like I was wearing those red shoes and could not stop deleting, I slid down a slippery slope.

I am going to put a warning up on my artlog about that. Actually I did put one up, but I deleted it. Oiy Vey.

probably best for people to not post there anymore.

You know the thing is though, to not clear the air is to leave it fouled. Sure, sure it will dissipate with time, but aromas will always linger there in the mind.

One should bring to light in a goodly way else how will others learn from it. But yes, probably privately is the best course.

I know that my thickness and obtuseness has often covered my awareness of a slight or hurt unintended. And I definitely want to know if I've been a turd.

And oh oh yes yes sometimes my wish to delete is overpoweringly strong. Sometimes I want to, I really really want to...but does that mean I should? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't...only my shadow knows.
