i feel especially taken by that date, especially when i'm missing the perfect 8-sequence-points-of-time by a whisker, as my last name could be translated into "eight-not"...

(the other translation option would be "don't care about it"...)

whether in cold, shivering
or beneath the heat
that withers and blisters

time's pattern a steady flow
the stops and starts
the memories

moved slow

the strength that my weakness can lean on
it is questions I find myself questioning
as answers pass quickly by
