So I'm taking the medical technical leap tomorrow night and having an MRI done of my brain,(what's left of it). Without too many details for 2+ months now there has been the sound of a cicada living in my head...I have the attention span of a 3 year old...dizzy spells,(I can no longer go on an elevator), I have only been to my studio a few times all summer. I am unemployed because I can't work. Sleep has become a hobby...

kurt, this sounds more like tinitis than brain cancer
I think that MRIs are a miracle, cuts down on exploratory surgery
wish I had the nerve to take one
they would probably publish the scans as an example of what fast living can do to you.

damn, Kurt... best of luck to you on the MRI... i had one a bit over a year ago that caught my arterial blockage... they knew right off where to go and do their thing putting in 2 stents.
I trust all be be worth the search and the cicada will move on... your studio could use you, I'm sure.
Let us know what's what...

man oh man
MRI is a good tool - locating the noise will be a relief
best of vibes to you, kurt
not going on elevators? does stair climbing cause any dizziness?

Kurt, I'm sorry to hear you're suffering from the ringing in your ears and dizzy spells! Yes, the MRIs are miracles because the can find out so much with them! My sister suffered from vertigo and ringing in her ears and it turned out to be associated with her sinuses. I'm happy to hear you're going to get the MRI today! Please let us know how it goes and what they find out! Hang in there, Kurt. Looking forward to your update!

I really hope all goes well with you!!! I am sorry to hear that you are getting the shit kicked out of you by your own body. I know how much dizzy spells suck... and I can only imagine what permanent residence with a cicada must be like. Please let us know how everything goes out and know that you are in my deepest thoughts and meditations.

p.s I don't really meditate, but if I did, I'd totally meditate on this situation for you.

hey! I called you wireman!!!!!

it´s odd, you´re different but your nicknames sounds for me similar/familiar, each time I have to think who is who!
I hope the machine was kind with you, artguy!

Yes
one of my hobbies too.
I can't forget how weak I felt getting up from that table after the scan. The tech had to steady me. I felt so completely vulnerable, as if I could see my doom in their eyes.
I hope the machine was kind to you Kurt.

one week, eh? is this part of that socialized medicine deal that so many freedom loving countries have established for their citizens?
