The Nightmare After Christmas

I bought doreen a new keyboard for her work computer. Her old one is old and filled with ashes and it's like typing on an old acoustic typewriter, an Underwood or a Smith-Corona. It would make her life easier, I thought, if she had a new keyboard with an easier touch.

So, I went to Circuit City and perused an entire aisle of computer keyboards. The problem is this: we are Mac users. All the keyboards were for PC. It's a PC world. Finally I found one that was for PC and incidentally for Mac also. I decided to take a chance on this little marvel of technology that spoke two languages and didn't need wires. And all for under a hundred dollars. That's barely a tank of gas these days.

Christmas day. I try to install the hybrid Mac/PC software on the WORK COMPUTER. This is the one where we have all the files associated with our work that actually pays us money.

I install the software and restart the computer. Ooops....it won't start. We're dead in the water.

I spend the next three hours reinstalling the operating system. Finally we got the mf working and I'm typing this on the new wireless keyboard.

Merry Christmas,it's a PC world.

Hey Lrod, and Doreen, Merry Christmas to youse...glad you got the keyboard working.

I got me a DVD player for Chreestmass. It's grand! I watched Festival Express this afternoon on DVD. Pretty interesting movie. I wouldn't mind being on a music train like that myself.

Tonight i'm going to watch another movie, called The Cooler.

Anyway, Cheers!
Joyeux Noel, et Bonne Annee!

Merry Christmas, Hest

We just watched Festival Express a couple of weeks ago. It really took me back.

I hope you're having a great season.
