Just saw a story on the news about people who are texting while driving.
Geesh. What are they idiots?
I'm way smarter! I don't even know how to text when I'm not driving!
I think I'll keep it that way.

I know I was an idiot.
I used to drive rolling joints steering with my elbows. An 18 wheeler. But then I stopped because I realized that my number one drug was #2 diesel. I used up my beginners luck. I don't even like to talk on a cell phone while I am driving.
I can't tell you how many times I have seen my death in a car crash. Distracted I run a stop sign or a red light. Wham o.
I think I will buy a saxophone and
die behind the wheel. I always liked that song.
on a somewhat unrelated tangent, If i had a job teaching driver's ed I would assign all my students this book
Zen & The Art of Driving
Yes they are idiots or maybe just teenagers?
By most physical measures, teenagers should be the world's best drivers. Their muscles are supple, their reflexes quick, their senses at a lifetime peak. Yet car crashes kill more of them than any other cause -- a problem, some researchers believe, that is rooted in the adolescent brain.
A National Institutes of Health study suggests that the region of the brain that inhibits risky behavior is not fully formed until age 25, a finding with implications for a host of policies, including the nation's driving laws.
Last month, Sen. William C. Mims (R-Loudoun) cited brain development research in proposing a Virginia bill that would ban cell phone use in vehicles by drivers younger than 18. It passed Friday.
