Breakfast with the NAZZ!

Post by hester_prynne » May 3rd, 2009, 2:20 am

I meant to tell everyone that I had a really nice breakfast last Sunday with NAZZ, in person!!!!!! We went to a place here in Ballard called Hattie's Hat. I think Hattie's has been around since the very first days of Seattle. As always, it was a thought provoking and lively time, great discussion. I was honored to be in the company of Nazz who is such a fine writer and thinker.
Studio eighters are real and wonderful.
I wish we all could get together for a few days somewhere, just relax and visit and get drunk and or stoned together. Write some sort of stream of consciousness memoir full of poems, narratives, pictures and whatever else we could conjure up.
Could we do it ya think?
Anyways, it was fun.

When I was a kid we used to say next year in Jeruselam, but that was before 1948.

I don't know how many times I passed through Mule Shoe Texas on my way to and from the great nothwest. I always wanted to park my truck and take up residence there.

We both had eggs over easy, hashbrowns and toast. It was good. I also had coffee, Nazz had a triple strength bloody mary. He looked so cute staggering out of Hattie's Hat....
Just kiddin. He had a regular Bloody Mary that looked quite delicious!
Nazz and I had met before in Astoria, but it was a long time ago.
Wish you all coulda been there. Be cool if we all could meet somewhere...in the middle maybe??? Where would that be? Where is the midspot for studio eighters to meet? Anyone want to calculate that?

I wonder if the airlines would be up for charter rate destination prices. Now there's an idea airline folks. Charter discount rates for people from different locations heading to the same spot for festivals and other stuff.
That idea ought to make me a million. In which case, the whole gathering will be on me.
