You all may remember, if you were here about two years ago in October of 2007, that I posted that mtmynd was in the hospital with a clogged artery (two places) and was facing surgery.

I just wanted to say thank you to all my friends here for your love and support during a very trying time for me and Cec. The warmth of your caring made a huge, Giant, difference for me (and he.)

The candles you lit, the love expressed bolstered us both greatly. I turned to you here, my writing community and the friends I had made from the past and present kept me going, really!

You and my outlet here were a saving grace in dealing with the stress of uncertainty.

So thank you from the bottom (and the top) of my heart and Cecil's mended artery! (His cardiologist only wants to see him in another year, good patient that he is, walking, eating well and not smoking.)

This weekend, Cecil and I are going back up the mountain to the very show where I was when I got that news two years ago. It will be his first time at that show (with me) as he always stayed home to care for Nate and the dogs.

Thanks to Cactus Mary (soap maker and dearest friend), Nathan will have company (he can take care of himself but needs company at night) and she will feed the pack of dogs. A pizza party tonight is planned and fried chicken and mashed taters (we don't eat that stuff anymore) on Sunday for Nate. New markers, crayons, fresh drawing pad and a Batman super coloring and activity book are in the offing. He is stoked and so are we!

The aspens will be turning gold, Sierra Blanca will have on her coat of many colors and the air should be bottled and sold. I can hardly wait to spend this work weekend with the man I truly love!

Adios and muchas gracias mi amigos y amigas for helping us get to Now...

Love!

how tempting it is to say "break a leg" at the show, but i shall refrain
and simply bask in the vicarious smell of Mary's soaps and fine friendship.(when you say Cactus Mary - i smell delicious soap)

Enjoy this re-cycled experience and may the troops have your backs.
