One of the 1,809 Still Missing ...

OK, I confess that I am looking for some emotional support.
My ex-husband spent his vacation in Kerala with his mother and sister. They live in one of the districts that was hit.
I have heard nothing. I called his closest friends in Santa Clara County. Although they have been watching his house, they have heard nothing. They expected him back by now, but they did not have an exact flight number or date of arrival.
I called the State Department and they have called me back several times to follow up, but they know nothing. On the last call, I was somewhat alarmed when they called him "Dr." Menon. I never bothered to give the State Department his title or degree, although I gave them his mother's home address in India, birthdate, and just about everything else I could think of. That means they know who I am talking about and have researched it.
There were 28,000 unaccounted Americans at the start of this thing; now there are only 1,809 by today's headlines, and he is one of them. I am starting to get pretty nervous about this ...
If do not hear from him soon, I don't know what I am going to do.
He HAS to be back by Wednesday because that's when he needs to start teaching again.
