Happy Birthday, Jack Tilles

Post by mtmynd » December 8th, 2009, 12:20 am

Yes, Jack, I neglected to remember that today, what's left of December 7th, is your birthday... one year after the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor.... and that is where my memory stopped in response to SooZen's memory of her dad.

Enough of that and for you, amigo, I hope your birthday was a day of good reflections and happy memories.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
TO YOU, TRUCK!

You're a damn good man, Jack Tilles!

You're a gift to Studio Eight and I hope you'll continue being as you've been, going way back to the LitKick days.

I wish it was one year after
One year before. December 7th 1940.
When people ask me when I was born I say "Before the war" I leave it to them to figure out which war.

I wish I was half the man you are compadre.
or at least half the gardner you are.
I finally got one tomato off my plant.
I was going to post a picture of my tomato plant besides yours.
Not hard for me to be humble.

Thank you for being a cyber friend.

A very merry birthday to you!
Glad to have met ya.

All the flags half mast on my birthday.
I wish we would fly the flags at half mast every time a soldier dies in Iraq or Afghanistan too. Or an innocent child.

Thanks dame.

Thanks Doreen
I wish I could remember the day John Lennon was born instead of the day he was murdered. Another Jesus type gone by

makes me want to cry ma ma
the english army won the war today
the inevitability of patriarchy
the things the boys will do
just to impress some girl.

we all remember ma ma
that was before da da
but after Eden

I can't think of this place without you. That's a fact.
Happy Birthday Jack.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Thanky steve
I can't imagine studio eight without any of us.
we are a gestalt.

A fortunate day for me when I stumbled on litkicks and met most of you there.

and then Doreen started S8 and life got even better for me.

I am getting all mushy and gushy and misty eyed
