The family is one of nature's masterpieces. ... George Santayana
She ain't heavy she is my sister
But sometimes I wonder about George Santayana
Maybe we do need central hatcheries
"And it is up against the wall red neck mothers who have raised your sons so well"

dysfunctional... we are all dysfunctional in some way or the other. ain't none of us perfect ... maybe for awhile, but eventually bam! we don't get it, we don't fit in, we feel estranged from family and/or friends... we become dysfunctional and pass it on to those who are close to us, by choice or be chance. it's a bitch.

Treat your family like friends and your friends like family
Santayana too.

Sometimes it helps to write about it.
It sure does. One of the benefits of writing. I think of the long tradition of diary writings and journals people keep.
Santayana's quote is really nice. I like it. I just know so many people are unable to live up to those words, unfortunately. That's what makes the quote so powerful and soothing at the same time... it's a wishful thought of longing.

Indeed. I've got enough 70 page one subject college-ruled spiral-bound notebooks to fill a trunk, maybe two trunks.
I've said it before, I'll no doubt say it again...Writing, for me, is like going to the bathroom: if I don't do it regularly, I become dis-eased.
Write all you want, Jack. It
does help.
Peace,
Barry

Friedrich Nietzsche once said "The thought of suicide is ...."
Masterpiece, isn't that a brand of whiskey? Twenty year old Kentucky Bourbon. As good as it gets on nights when Nietzsche is no help.
Sometimes I likes to drink a little whiskey

I guess it is my gray linear male brain that gets between us.
Poor Echo
Narcissus gets all the ink.
She says" I convinced my self..."
I think what would Jitterbug say to her about that.
something like this I think:
"If you can convince yourself you can convince anyone."
My humor did not work, not enough irony I suppose
Too absurd?.
(The absurd is sin without God)—Sysyphus²
I don't know what I should have done, called upon the sacred blood of Jesus to heal us of this curse. I will try it next time or maybe
"Get thee behind us Satan"
Well thank you all for reading and your taking the time to reply.
