WELCOME TO SCORECARDRESEARCH!

ScorecardResearch is a domain used by Full Circle Studies, Inc. to help with the collection of Internet web browsing data on specific websites that have enrolled in a broad market research effort to create reports on Internet behavior and trends.

As part of this market research effort, participating websites agree to deploy a ScorecardResearch web beacon throughout their site. This beacon is used to collect information about general visitation patterns to the participating website. Web beacons are commonly used by companies to understand the visitation on their website. In addition, the ScorecardResearch web beacon will utilize a cookie. A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer's hard drive. ScorecardResearch uses a combination of web beacons and cookies to help websites count users who have visited and seen a page or various parts of a page. We require that any website using our web beacon and cookies to include a notice about the use of web beacons and cookies to collect anonymous traffic data and to state what choices are available to users regarding the use of the information collected.

The web beacon and cookie used by comScore is unable to identify the user visiting a page, and there is no personally identifiable data transmitted by, or linked to, the web beacon or any cookies. To opt-out of receiving this cookie, please click here.

Two days ago, I was searching for CAD software prices for a friend.

Yesterday, I got emails advertising CAD software.

Too creepy.

I never typed in my email address anywhere! How did they get my email address?

not one bit?? :) I guess the worst things they can happen to you are:

- they try to sell you something
- spam (more or less the same as the line above)
- they study you for purposes you don´t know exactly
- you become part of some list

you are just giving food to the lions, nothing to worry about, except if they ask you for money or knock at your door...

Arcadia asked
not one bit??
Ok, just a little bit.
I don't mind them asking for money
Just so they don't take it without asking
I got my checking account and other stuff on this computer.
Makes me nervous when they are ransacking my computer for personal while their web page loads so slowly.

I hit it and quit these days, I shut down any web page that starts to load slow while my hard drive light is spinning.

Creepy is right.

There is no anonymity on the net. Not really, we leave footprints
