Jack... thank you, kind friend!

I always wondered what it would be like to have my name in lights! ;)

You're a dear. :)

I took my walk early this morning
before Texas started to simmer.
As I walked into the tobacco store
I heard a black woman protest,
"'N he thainks he can sit up on that couch all day
n' I sez, 'no, it's my birthday today, I'm gon' boogie."
she was pinning a five dollar bill into the top of her bra. I don't know why exactly
but it looked like something a lady might do on her birthday.
I said, "hmmm, come to think of it, it's my ex's birthday today too. I had forgotten."
"So, why didja let her get away?"
"Donno, I forgot her birthday one year. Don't think she ever quite got over it."

So, lest I forget,
Happy Birthday, sweet Doreen.

gracias, Arcadia!!!!

You know how kids start saying they're 5-1/2 six months after they have their 5th birthday?

Well, I start thinking of myself as the next year older... right away... so to me, I'm already a year older than I was yesterday.

It's a little mind trick and it works! The way it works is I'm not shocked by the number when I finally get to my birthday because I pretend I'm a year older for the whole year. Hahah!

Just a little tip for young ladies like you. It goes fast and you might find this idea useful.

Not that I really care about the numbers, of course ;)

I'm late for my own party. Geesh. Sorry, guys, but I didn't see these replies 'til just now. I'm getting old. And apparently blind.

Steve... thanks very much! I don't have to have another one for a year. ;) Cheers with my Deer Park water!

singlemalt.... Thank you very much! Nice to see you! :)

Hest ... sistahhood never had it so good! *smooch* love ya :)

Yabyum.... You are a dear... I know what you said even though you don't. Wishing you and your family all the best. I watch Ruby grow up on FB, by the way. What a living doll! Thank you. :)
