Rebel Buddha

Post by Artguy » November 17th, 2010, 1:26 pm

I will be totally immersed in this event this weekend. It is great to finally meet the man who wrote these amazing books that I have read. He will also be taking my Vow Of Refuge....I just want to sit from now until then.

I liked the book´s cover and the way the lama?´s talked!, hope you enjoy being there!!!! :D

last july I took buddish tibetan vows almost without knowing it, I didn´t exactly knew that the ceremony included the vows part, but when I listened what the votes where about, they sounded ok -except that I´m only five days a week vegetarian!- . Though, the khempho himself felt too much tibetan/clerical to me... an a humorous note: when I asked him if he was born after or before the chinese invasion/occupation in Tibet, he aswered "after or before what???", I asked again in English -he doesn´t speak Spanish... a little problem..!- and he asked again "after or before what??" he finally made me laugh...! . The name given to me was Sangye Lhamo as if he already knew I will not return to his sangha at least for a time...!

Rinpoche said one thing that has been bouncing around in me since Saturday... "If you are capable of falling asleep you are capable of waking up". So damn simple and clear...and now this simple statement is waking things in me I didn't know existed. Below is about my Sangha.

"If you are capable of falling asleep you are capable of waking up"
I liked that too, lately I been waking up when I fall asleep. Awake in my dreams. Interesting phenomena.
