I spoke with my teacher, Doron Lavie, about t'ai chi and chi cong. At the end of the interview there's a (hand-held) clip of Wave Hands Like Clouds - one of the more beautiful and meditative movements.

J: What is T’ai Chi, Doron?
Doron: A Chinese Martial Art, definitely martial arts combined with awareness. It works on our quality of life: how to use the body, the mind and how to use them well.
Timely information for me
to quote the west Texas Hemingway
“The hill I've been climbing just turned to a mountain..."
Martial arts, hard for me to go there, I have been certified unfit for military service since The Gulf of Tonkin incident.
Going to sleep on it, martial arts.
Going to keep an open mind
Going to re-think something an old Quaker said.
I got to defend myself
from my self
Somehow.
that's my comment j
kind of muddled but I will chat a bit more about it later after I think it over. If you will pardon my multiple replies.

It takes awareness to maintain the body. More people need to make a connection to themselves.
This brings back the point I made earlier. The essential thing is to arouse a true curiousity in the self and when that happens, a person will be able to see what is required, aware of what’s important in life.
so true for late bloomers like me
