Showers or Baths?

Post by Lightning Rod » February 2nd, 2005, 3:02 pm

ok, call me a sissy
I like to take bubble baths
I like to soak in a hot perfumed tub
it's a luxuriant, womb-like experience
there's just something too business-like about showers.

Which do you like?
showers or baths

(don't worry, I'm not going to ask you if you put on boxers or briefs when you're done)

Me, I like showers. I have the best shower I've ever had right now in this house, finally......it's large enough for 2 people by a long shot, with a skylight right over it, so's you can see the treetops and the sky.
I like to light a few candles around dusk, and turn off the lights and just let the hot water rush all over me for indulgently long times. It's high ceilinged so the accoustics are primo for singing too.

I never was keen on bathtubs. I mean, I appreciate that people are, but I'm too fidgety to sit in a tub of water for a long time.

There you have it.
Thass my bathing story and i'm sticking to it.

C'mon folks, tell all !
:D

i shower every morning, and bath every night. i guess i'm bi-hygenic.

the morning is for get-up-and-go, the night is for lay-back-and-rest.

in the shower i wash my hair, in the bath i soak in handfulls of epsom salts and scented oils. the oil of the moment is "renewal".

When I was young I fell asleep in the bath, and
upon awakening I was cold, hung over and generally
freaked right out. Jumped up all goose bumps yelling
and stuff. Never once have I fell asleep in the shower.
Then again I no longer drink.

I'm a shower kinda guy. I think there is something wrong with sitting for long periods of time submerged in a pool of your own filth, clean filth or no clean filth it's all still filth. I need it to be clean clean clean.
Who are you and how did you get in?

we ripped our tub from our bathroom in order to avoid smacking our heads on the sink when sitting on the toilet.

but in the good old head smacking days, i'd dig friday afternoon baths - for a few wonderful minutes with the barest drop of etheric oil to nestle out my tensions.

now, i have to nestle under the blankets after a shower.

my stepson is staying with us and he has the bath rights for now
at the back of the house
we got the shower in the master bedroom
but then again, he is my marijuana connection

so i have got to show some respect.

worst bath i ever has was in alaska, 1967
flew in with bush pilot from the summer camp
mudder fadder, hello, i went for six weeks widdout a bath
up in the mountain pass too cold up that an
all them mousquiters too stayed in the tent when i wasn't
slinging the sling cycrometer an reading clouds an counting
mosses an lichens an measuring micro climatology potentiometer
pissing into big plastic jug to avoid going outside alone in my tent
then hiked down, caught the plane, slept out one more nite
dirt runway halfway between nowhere and paradise
but
first bath turned to mud had to drain it, wash the tub.
second scrub did the job, tho.

best bath i ever had was ten years ago in the middle of the night
when i visited Karen and we combined lingam yogam yab yum style in the bath popped my positive solitude
left

met my wife

my wife and i would not fit like that
now
ten years after but
love conquers all

i also remember hot springs baths in california
cold showers homeless in the parks

shower power for an hour
can't be beat
hot treat
i'm on a survival mission
yo ho ho an a bottle of rum om

Shower me with kindness

Bathe me with love

Other than that

Who gives a FUDGE!!!!

Just kidding....

Showers remind me of warm summer rains, so I love em, not really about the getting clean, more about the refreshing.

Baths I reserve for evening, luxuriating, soaking away all the caked on crud of the day.

That's me....a little of dis and a little of dat.
